Alexis Hyde-Washmon, MS, BCBA, LPC, LMFT, LBA
Alexis has over 20 years of experience in behavioral health and working with individuals, ages 12 months to 70 years, diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and other intellectual disabilities and mental challenges. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then obtained her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, with a Specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Our Lady of the Lake University.
She obtained her licenses as a Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist in 2005, a certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2007 (originally obtaining a BCaBA in 2002) and became a Licensed Behavior Analyst in 2018. Prior experience includes the use of applied behavior analysis, collaborative learning theory, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, and social skills training with children and adults with a wide range of mental challenges in outpatient and inpatient settings, educational (school) settings. She has provided extensive training with families in behavior management techniques.
Along with a passion for working with individuals of all ages, she believes in providing positive and effective intervention to facilitate fulfilling and productive lives for not only the individuals in her care, but their families as well.
