Kim has roughly 10 years of experience working with children in a child development setting. Kim received her Bachelors Degree in Child Development from Baylor University. Previously, Kim worked with pre-school aged children and focussed on their health and nutrition at a head start center in Austin. There, she was exposed to children who were undiagnosed with ASD, however, were emitting behaviors that explained their inability to be successful in such large pre-school classroom settings.

She moved to Houston in 2015 with her husband and began a search to work with children diagnosed with ASD. She learned about the Next Step Academy through a friend and has been with the company ever since.

Now a Campus Coordinator, Kim works to align therapists with clients and set-up ideal programs that support the child as an individual. Her 8 month old daughter attends the Bright Ideas Developmental Daycare on-site and is enjoyed by therapists and staff.
