Emily Johnson - Clinical Coordinator
Emily knew early on that she had a passion for helping others unlock their potential. Throughout high school, she mentored students with developmental delays and behavioral issues. She began her career in helping others by working at a hospital designed specifically for special needs children and young adults. There, she worked closely with PT and OT, and was eventually introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis.
Once familiar with ABA, Emily realized she had a passion for helping both clients reach their best potential and staff achieve their goals. Her past experience as a Registered Behavior Technician allows her to understand the dynamic approach that comes with ABA. She provided exceptional therapy sessions to clients across the board. Emily took on smaller leadership roles before becoming the Clinical Coordinator, which has prepared her to best support The Next Step Academy operational needs across the clinic.
